The tintype process allows us to connect to physical reality and preserve it for generations to come. It could be argued that tintypes are “more true” than any digital reproduction. I want people to step into the darkroom and witness the magical moment of revelation that occurs when a silver-based image develops in a chemical bath right before our eyes.

What is a tintype?
Tintype photography is a process invented in the 1850s that involves coating a thin metal plate with light-sensitive silver particles. This plate is then placed into a camera and developed by hand resulting in a one-of-a-kind physical photo.
Can we retake the photo if it doesn't look good?
If the photo is deemed unacceptable due to a blink or some technical error, we will re-shoot the photo free of charge. If you are unhappy with the result due to aesthetic reasons, I'll be happy to add another photo to your session for $30.
Can I wear glasses in my photo?
Glare is not usually a problem, but some glasses have a UV coating that may cause the lenses to appear darkened in the photo as a result.
How many people can be in my photo?
Due to technical limitations of lighting and framing, photos are limited to 4 people at a time.
